Adam A. Paul, a life-long resident of Ward 4, is no stranger to public service. Born on Aug. 2, 1977, his parents were dedicated to helping others. His father, Don Paul, was a Lutheran Minister and his mother Maggie Paul taught elementary school. The legacy they left behind and their commitment to this community has inspired Adam to continue their work in his own way.
Growing up in Lakewood, Adam spent countless hours playing in the gullies that line the area. Adam rode his BMX bike at the original sports cycle park, now the new Solterra development. He played soccer and baseball at Beech Park. Today, he stills enjoys living and playing in Lakewood. An avid mountain biker, Paul spends his spare time riding Green Mountain.
Paul has always known that in order to play hard, it is important to work hard too. As a teenager, whether he was bussing tables at Café Jordano or working at Green Mountain Texaco Xpress Lube with Ed and Diane Rhodus, he was diligent in his undertakings. In 2002, Paul started his own business, Colorado Corporate Car, an executive transportation service. He is a graduate of Green Mountain High School and hard work and ambition led Paul to graduate with a degree in Political Science from the University of Colorado at Denver.
Adam Paul's roots in Ward 4 are almost as deep as his beliefs in public service, capitalism, and democracy. Paul has been honored to represent the citizens of Lakewood's Ward 4 since 2007. Prior to his election, Adam Paul served six years on the Green Mountain Water and Sanitation District Board where he worked hard to keep costs and rates down. Adam is also a member of the Limousine Association of Colorado and served as treasurer, Vice President, and then President of that organization. Paul is a past member of the Denver International Airport Advisory Board and served on the Future Search Committee at Green Mountain High School.
Since joining Council, Paul has remained active in the community. He serves on the boards of Lakewood on Parade and Eaton Senior Programs. On council, Paul chairs the Legislative Committee, serves on the city's Budget and Audit Committee, and represents the city on the Joint Project Review Committee and the Rooney Valley Association. Paul is also the city's representative to the Jefferson County Economic Development Corporation and, if re-elected, will represent the city on DRCOG. In 2010, Adam served as Council President.
